Child Safeguarding Policy

Child Safeguarding Policy

As an international children development organisation Plan International is committed to the realization of children’s rights as enshrined in the “United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC)”, including their rights to protection from abuse and exploitation. We hold ourselves accountable for child safeguarding and strive to push forward local child safeguarding work. It is our belief that protecting children from harm is the responsibility of every adult. As an organisation which has frequent contact with children, we are morally and legally obliged to take all reasonable measures to ensure our organisation environment is safe and friendly to children.

The “Child Safeguarding Policy” is an internal policy that assists organisations in determining the responsibility of safeguarding children and making commitment to uphold the policy. Not only does it prevent the employees and related parties from harming children with clear standards, in a way allowing employees, work partners and volunteers to interact with children safely; but also actively ensures the smooth operation of our organisation and minimizes the risk of children being harmed.
